As Finance & Controlling Manager, you play a key role in ensuring the financial health and continuity of the organization. You are responsible for accurate reporting, internal controls, and proactive financial management, in line with corporate standards and applicable laws and regulations. With your leadership and expertise, you will take both the department and the organization to the next level.

You will report to the General Manager of Administration and serve as the bridge between operations and senior management.

What will you be doing in this position?

In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the Finance and Controlling department and will directly manage four employees. You will ensure structure, direction, and a future-proof financial organization. You will serve as a strategic partner to the management team and act as the primary point of contact for external financial stakeholders.

What will you be doing in this role?

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Finance & Controlling department. You will manage the department and its day-to-day operations and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payments.

  • Audit & financial statements. You will prepare for audits and oversee the entire financial statement process.

  • Taxes. Timely and accurate preparation and filing of VAT returns (NL, DE, UK), intra-Community supplies (ICL), and CBS statistics, as well as preparation of the corporate income tax return, including transfer pricing.

  • Compliance & Regulations. You ensure compliance with Dutch GAAP, IFRS, and relevant laws and regulations.

  • Optimizing Financial Processes. You improve and implement financial processes, guidelines, and systems within Finance.

  • Budgeting & Improvement Initiatives. You make proposals to increase profitability and efficiency.

  • Financial Planning & Analysis. You evaluate investments, prepare liquidity forecasts, and manage cash flow.

  • Reporting to the Management Team and Stakeholders. You provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the General Manager of Administration and the Management Team.

  • Stakeholder Management. You maintain contact with auditors, tax advisors, credit insurers, and other external partners.

Job requirements

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, we’re looking for the following:

  • You are an experienced finance professional with leadership qualities.

  • You have a degree in finance (HBO/WO), preferably with a specialization in accounting or taxes.

  • You have extensive experience in Finance & Controlling within an international or complex organization.

  • You are analytically strong, process-oriented, and decisive.

  • You work with a high degree of accuracy and act with integrity, even under time pressure.

  • You communicate clearly at all levels and navigate easily between internal and external stakeholders.

  • You have knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS and thrive in a dynamic environment.

  • You are proactive, results-oriented, and capable of implementing improvements.

  • Experience with SAP is required; experience with 4HANA is a plus.
