Product Compliance Specialist

As our new Chemical Compliance Specialist, you are responsible for managing and safeguarding the chemical compliance of our raw materials and finished products. You will work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure all relevant legislation—such as REACH, ROHS, GADSL, and others—is understood, implemented, and maintained. Your work ensures our products can be safely and legally sold across the globe.

What You’ll Do

• Annually update supplier information regarding changes in GADSL, ROHS, ECHA and other relevant legislation, and implement necessary changes.

• Review safety data sheets (SDS) of raw materials, including UFI codes and other requirements.

• Gain knowledge of REACH/ECHA registration processes and share this knowledge within the organization.

• Responsible for updating the chemical register in collaboration with the SHE Specialist.

• Act as a point of contact for suppliers regarding IMDS issues and chemical compliance issues.

• Manage international product registrations, notifications and annual compliance reports.

• Enter product data into relevant EU databases and ensure correct product labeling and check label accuracy.

• Collaborate with colleagues in product development to ensure global regulatory compliance.

• Manage safety information and maintain SDS for finished products, raw materials, and toll compounding companies in multiple languages ​​depending on the country of supply. Contact point for KKDIK (Turkish REACH legislation) and UK REACH for pre-registration and compliance issues.

✔ A completed HBO education in Chemical Technology or a comparable education.

✔ Education/courses in the direction of chemical compliance are a plus.

✔ In-depth knowledge of chemical compliance, including REACH, ECHA, GADSL, ROHS, IMDS and the consequences of these legislations for product development.

✔ Experience with safety data sheets (SDS) and product registrations.

✔ Familiar with chemical safety systems and maintaining compliance information.

✔ Good command of Excel and other administrative tools.

✔ Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.

✔ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

✔ Availability of 36 - 40 hours per week.
